Our stainless steel tubular heaters are suitable for almost any application. They deliver exceptional performance wherever you need to heat anything – whether for industrial applications or in the home. Typical applications include instantaneous heaters, heat pumps, bakery ovens and drying ovens. In the process, tubular heaters offer a key advantage over other types of heating element thanks to their special design: the electric energy is converted directly and without losses into thermal energy.
DEW heating element calculator
With the DEW heating element calculator you can comfortably calculate important values for the heating element you are looking for. Determine, for example, the power required to warm up a substance with a specific mass from temperature T1 to T2 in a certain time.

Design
The heart of our tubular heaters made of stainless steel is a high-performance heating coil, which is specially designed by the DEW engineers for the particular task in hand. Connecting bolts are welded to these, which guarantee the necessary unheated length and subsequently enable the attachment of electric contacts. The casing pipe is filled with magnesium oxide for the purpose of electrical insulation.
After compaction of the filled heating elements and recrystallisation of the filling material in the annealing furnace, the tubular heaters are shaped and – if required – combined into larger assemblies. The last step of the process before testing and packaging is making the electrical contacts.
